Response to Accomplishment Lists

A response to “Hometown Hater”:

1. Not a baseball fan. Therefore it is not an accomplishment. You did make me reconsider whether it should be placed on the disappointment list.

2. With respect to your thoughts about my opinion of the World Cup - Yes.

3. The Decision … just ask Cleveland.

Lacking list of accomplishments and disappointments

Reader Response to 2010 Accomplishment/Disappointments …

how could you give no love to the San Francisco Giants winning the world series, I think the first one by them. How could you applaud every team at the world cup minus north Korea. Does that mean you support the joke known as the French soccer team? Or the under achieving England and Brazil? How can you call Lebron James disappointing? Miami is definitely not a disappointing team anymore. We all saw that on Christmas day.

2010 Accomplishments & Disappointments

2010 was filled with many great stories … but then again every year has its fair share of great stories. Hence, without attempting to hype up 2010 as the greatest single year of sports ever, the year’s top 5 accomplishments and disappointments, as chosen by this average joe, are as follows:

Accomplishments

1. New Orleans Saints winning Super Bowl XLIV

2. L.A. beating Boston in Game 7 for their 2d consecutive NBA title

3. 2010 World Cup in South Africa [everyone was a winner except for N. Korea]

4. Canada Beats USA for Gold Medal in Ice Hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics

5. Michael Vick’s Resurgence

Disappointments

1. Lebron James’ Decision

2. Brett Favre’s Life [might as well include the Minnesota Vikings]

3. Duke winning the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship

4. Tiger Woods …

5. Canada Beats USA for Gold Medal in Ice Hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics [it was bitter sweet]
